Get to Know Joshua R. Holt, DMD

Dr. Holt was born and raised in Salt Lake City and moved to Asheville 3 years ago to join Dr. Stacey and
take over for the retiring Dr. Flaherty.
After finishing his undergraduate studies at the University of Utah, Dr. Holt graduated with his Doctor of
Dental Medicine at Temple University. After graduation from Temple, he completed an extensive dental
implant training course through the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID) and completed the
necessary qualifications in order to be recognized as an Associate Fellow of the AAID. Some of his other
continuing education includes extensive training with same-day CEREC restorations and dental
extractions.
Dr. Holt and his wife Laura have three young children and feel incredibly blessed to be able to raise
them somewhere as beautiful as Asheville. In his spare time, Dr. Holt is an avid fly-fisher and golfer. He
also enjoys coaching his daughter’s soccer team and attending swimming lessons with both kids at the
local JCC.
