Dental Insurance – Asheville, NC
Save On Dentistry, Maximize Your Benefits
Using a dental insurance plan comes with many unique benefits, including lower overall costs on average and more predictable dental appointments. With that said, we understand if you have questions about how to make the most of your entitled benefits every year. By learning about your plan’s details and keeping up with regular checkups, you can not only save on oral healthcare costs, but reduce your risk of dental problems (and emergencies) later in the long-term. Below, you can learn a few helpful points regarding your dental insurance.
Understanding How Dental Insurance Works
When you have a dental insurance plan, you should do your best to use it on a regular basis in order to get the most out of your benefits. While this may seem significantly different than plans offered for medical insurance, which are largely used to address severe or sudden illnesses or injuries, it’s actually a great way to ensure your benefits are being used efficiently. It’s also one of the reasons why preventive care is covered the best by dental insurance providers in most cases.
What Your Dental Insurance Plan Covers
- Preventive Care – Often includes exams, cleanings, X-rays and sometimes fluoride therapy (especially for younger patients). Covered at or close to 100%.
- Minor Restorative Care – Typically includes dental fillings and sometimes root canal therapy. Covered between 70% and 80% depending on the plan.
- Major Restorative Care – Usually includes dental crowns, bridges, and dentures. Covered up to 50% depending on your plan.
We Offer In-Network Savings & Welcome Out-of-Network Provider
We are currently an in-network provider with Delta Dental, which means you can generally expect lower oral healthcare costs when using plans from them at our office. However, we are more than happy to file all dental insurance plans on your behalf, including out-of-network plans you’d like to use. In many cases, these plans can still make your care affordable. If you need help or guidance on making the most of your dental insurance, please let our team know and we’ll do everything we can to accommodate you.
